Sunday with SAWT

Once a month, from May to November each year, SAWT presents moved rehearsed play readings to the general public at the Holden Street Theatres in Hindmarsh, an inner suburb of Adelaide.  A link is given below to help you find the venue.

The Sunday afternoon readings are preceded by a soup lunch, and the variety of tasty home-made soups available for selection, has become a talking point among the growing number of patrons. The SAWT soup kitchen is seen in operation in the picture above. The lunch is usually accompanied by an address from an invited speaker, who leads into the play reading. SAWT is fortunate to have received the support of many talented professional actors who have given their time to stage these readings.

The selected scripts have been through the SAWT peer review process and have been workshopped to ensure that the audience receives an interesting afternoon's theatre, to complement their gastronomical experience.

At a cost of only $12, including the lunch, Sunday with SAWT is good value for money. The lunch is served from 1:00 p.m.
